I see the disclaimer about pregnancy, but any cautionary tales for nursing women? Been dealing with some anxiety lately, I'm taking magnesium but this also sounds lovely.

Legally, I cannot recommend anything. But, I can give you several suggestions for you to research. Chamomile has long been used to calm both nursing mothers and their babies. You may also want to look into hops bud, ashwagandha, passion flower, valerian and skullcap. Motherwort is also very good and has a long history of use by mothers experiencing anxiety, but it can stimulate uterine contractions (whereas the others are anti-spasmodic), so you may want to keep that in mind if you have another pregnancy - definitely contraindicated. Viburnum is an excellent antispasmodic and while not sedative necessarily, it relaxes the muscles. The scent of lavender is also calming. Susan Weed and Rosemary Gladstar are really good sources for info on women's health issues - you can read several of their books for free on archive.org and they do youtube videos. The only real danger I could think of with Saint John's Wort would be that it could make the baby more sensitive to sunlight, but I am by no means an expert on women's health!

Thanks Judson! Appreciate this list! I’ll do some research, make my own decisions, and not blame you for anything 😉😂
