Hibiscus syriacus, Rose of Sharon Rose of Sharon is really more of a bush or shrub. It is a beautiful, old fashioned landscaping plant. Its scent and sight brings back childhood memories of my grandparent’s and great grandparent’s farms. This shrub is in the mallow family and is very useful.
