Specifically, we get into Virginia Copperleaf or Mercury and Yarrow. I also tell you about my book on Medicinal Weeds and grasses, how unfair and bad book reviews hurt independent authors and I give you my favorite smoked catfish recipe, which is MIGHTY tasty!
Some decades ago, a bottle of the strawberry soda I had made exploded upon opening--even though bottled in champagne bottles--glass was flying. One piece lodged in my flesh just beneath my chin. Bleeding was profuse--I ran the 75 feet to the yarrow in my garden, plucked a handful, chewed it, applied the poultice. The bleeding did stop pretty quickly. Husband took me to the ER where nurses were 'distressed' to see this muck on my skin (having never heard of it)--got stitched up and good to go shortly afterward.
That reminds me of a friend who used puffball mushroom spores to stop bleeding from a life-threatening gash on his thigh. He was in and out of consciousness. He awoke to hear the EMTs totally freaking out about the blackness around the wound!
